Stephen David Simon

Stephen David Simon sitting on a stone staircase wearing a suit and tie and glasses.Stephen David Simon is Executive Director of the City of Los Angeles Department on Disability, working to ensure that all City programs, services, activities, and facilities are accessible to all Angelenos. Immediately prior, he was Principal in the Los Angeles office of The Raben Group, a nationally recognized Progressive public policy firm addressing issues of disability, criminal justice, voting rights and domestic violence. He previously served as the City’s fifth AIDS Coordinator, responsible for development, implementation and oversight of the City’s HIV/AIDS policies and programs. Stephen is President Emeritus of Stonewall Democrats, and currently a Board Member of the Foundation for The AIDS Monument. Mr. Simon received his Juris Doctorate and Bachelors degrees at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA).

Eric Ascher

Eric Ascher is the Communications Associate for RespectAbility. He is responsible for supporting RespectAbility’s Vice President, Communications in developing and implementing advocacy efforts and communications of various types. Ascher manages RespectAbility’s social media channels, website and emails; organizes and develops webinars; and supervises Communications Fellows.
