Our Policy team hosted an informative webinar on how to register to vote and access reliable information on elections and candidates. Attendees had the chance to hear from a panel of experts who shared their insights on how to get involved in campaigns and make a meaningful impact on the political process.

Speaker Bios

She works with Congressional offices, federal agencies, state legislatures, and other disability rights organizations to create policies that provide equitable opportunities to people with disabilities in education, the workforce, civic engagement, and all areas of community life.

Alexia Kemerling smiling headshotAlexia Kemerling (she/her) is the REV UP Coalitions Coordinator at AAPD. She works to support grassroots activists across the U.S. in building the power of the disability vote.

Liz Weintraub smiling headshot in front of a black backdropLiz Weintraub is the Senior Advocacy Specialist at AUCD. Liz has a long history of leadership in self-advocacy and has held many board and advisory positions at state and national organizations. She is a full-time member of AUCD’s policy team and the host of Tuesdays With Liz: Disability Policy For All, where she attempts to make policies in accessible language so policy is accessible to all.

He works with the policy team on state and federal policy and leads the civic engagement work at RespectAbility. As a person with low vision, Dadian adds his lived experience and attempts to make space for other people with disabilities in his work.
