National Leadership Program, Spring 2024
Simone Till is a Philanthropy/Development Fellow in RespectAbility’s National Leadership Program for Spring 2024. RespectAbility is a national nonprofit organization fighting stigmas and advancing opportunities so that people with disabilities can fully participate in all aspects of community.
Till is a social worker with a passion for advocating for people with disabilities through community organizing, policymaking, and philanthropy. After growing up with a late diagnosis of severe hearing loss in both ears and a sister that has cerebral palsy, improving accessibility and inclusion has always been a priority to her.
Till holds a Bachelor of Social Work with a concentration in public service and leadership from the University of South Florida (USF). During her undergraduate career, she worked as a City of Tampa Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Coordinator, a USF Peer Health Educator, and a Crisis Center of Tampa Bay Intervention Specialist. In addition, she has received the Outstanding Young Adult Service Award from the Hillsborough County Government and the Golden Bull Award, USF highest honor for exceptional leadership and service.
Since graduating, Till has moved to Austin, Texas. She is currently a Master of Public Affairs student at the Lyndon B. Johnson School at University of Texas-Austin. After graduating in 2025, she aims to pursue a career where she can continue to serve vulnerable and marginalized populations through advocacy and inclusion. In her free time, she likes to play with her clingy cat, read non-fiction books, watch YouTube commentary videos, and visit local cafes and restaurants.
