Joseph “JB” Bensmihen

With over two decades of experience across administrations and state lines, as well as being fluently multi-lingual in Spanish, French and English, Joseph “JB” Bensmihen has been a successful advocate for every cause he has championed. JB has brought his distinct process of goal-setting to all of the teams he has led, clarifying specific objectives within the long-term team vision.

JB is a strategic, high-energy, results-focused lobbyist and advocate who incorporates business leadership with history of advocacy and home healthcare policies and working relationships with federal legislators to conceptualize and implement lobbying programs that deliver results.

JB has successfully founded, built, merged, and sold businesses at multi-million-dollar valuations. His advocacy efforts have been even more impressive, spanning heated topics that include health care, consumer rights, small business sustainability and American-Israeli relations through his ongoing involvement with the American Israeli Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC).  He created Private Care Association’s first political action committee (PAC), doubled membership, and established organization as leading authority in home care policy. JB has secured field assistance bulletin (FAB) guidance from the Department of Labor (DoL) which is essential to financial health of home care providers. He has also secured hundreds of thousands of dollars for LiFT Academy, serving up inclusive educational environments and opening legislators’ eyes on the urgent needs present in schools.

JB has met with and advised 20+ members of Congress, President Obama, and Vice President Pence, and presented testimony to the House Workforce Education Committee.  He is a skilled speaker and writer; has delivered more than 600 presentations and is a published author with his book, “Taking Your Place at the Table.”

JB does not just take his seat at the table; he is well-versed in “the art of refusing to be an outsider,” and is passionate about inspiring others to find their voices and take action on the issues that matter most to them.

JB is the Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of Apollo Mediation, a Florida based company focused on effective and compassionate dispute resolution that help both parties and relieves the judicial process of unnecessary overload. JB is also a field instructor at Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL, as well as a field instructor and member of the Board of Overseers at Yeshiva University in New York, NY.
