Matthew Manson
A native New Yorker inspired by big concepts, bold characters, and dark comedy, Matt Manson has received awards from the Tribeca Film Festival, Cannes Lions, and the Telly Awards. His scripts have won the Final Draft Big Break TV Award and the Script Pipeline TV Writing Contest, and have been selected for the Black List, the 1IN4 Coalition, and the WGAW Disabled Writers Committee’s Disability List.
In television, Matt ran two seasons of a series for AwesomenessTV, which aired internationally on Comedy Central. Seen by millions, it was hailed as “groundbreaking” by Paste Magazine. He’s developed projects with Shondaland, Bad Hat Harry, and Flavor Unit Entertainment, and directed sketches for UCB and Funny or Die. A two-time executive, Matt has helped shepherd hundreds of projects from concept to production.
His feature Wannabe received a production grant from Chris Columbus. Its adaptation was nominated for Best Short at Tribeca. IndieWire said “it will make you swoon.”
He lives in Los Angeles with his wife, an elderly terrier, and two feisty boys.
