She began her acting journey at the age of 9 in community theater before transitioning into film and television. Together, they are currently producing 55, a feature documentary spotlighting the legendary 1993 Dunbar High School basketball team in Washington, D.C.
Keonia recently produced her first short film, In Real Life, and wrote, directed, and starred in the upcoming short It’s You, Not Me, now in post-production. She also serves as the Production Coordinator on the short film I Got Next, while developing her debut feature-length script, Rare.
Her mission as a disabled filmmaker is to create inclusive, authentic stories that reflect underrepresented communities — both on screen and behind the scenes.
