Charlie T. Savage

Charlie T. Savage is a Navy veteran, screenwriter, producer, and founder of Charlie Bit Me Joints LLC, where she creates thrilling and hilarious content that unapologetically highlights the Black female experience. A New Orleans native, she is passionate about inclusive storytelling, focusing on LGBTQIA+ communities, people of color, and women. She plays a key role in the California Film Commission, serving as the Soundstage Program Assistant and leading the Career Pathways Program, fostering the growth of film and TV production to keep creativity in California. A member of Veterans in Media & Entertainment (VME), she also advocates for U.S. military veterans transitioning into media careers. Charlie’s industry recognition includes fellowships with Collective 5 Entertainment’s Showrunner’s Mentorship Academy and the Writers Guild Foundation Veterans Project. She has most recently become involved with the NAACP and has been named a Top 10 Finalist in Ms. Veteran America for her work supporting homeless women veterans and their children. Charlie has received a Dunkin’ Donuts Community Hero Award in Washington, D.C. and was also selected to participate in the United State of Women, founded by the Obama Administration. Currently, Charlie is competing for Ms. Black California 2026, using the platform to promote creative writing and artistic expression as essential tools for personal and professional growth among women of color. With a postgraduate degree in management and an undergrad in journalism and mass communications, she blends creative vision with strategic expertise. Charlie is dedicated to using her voice and leadership to uplift underrepresented communities to ensure diverse stories are celebrated on every screen.
