National Leadership Program, Spring/Summer 2014
Jennifer Cookson was a Communications Apprentice with RespectAbility in the Spring 2014 Cohort. Today, Cookson works as a Presidential Management Fellow Acquisition Specialist for the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
As an Apprentice, Cookson increased her knowledge around fundraising, research and strategic communication, and gained the essential networking skills necessary to start a nonprofit organization. Prior to joining RespectAbility, Cookson worked for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and for the United States Census.
Cookson earned a Master of Public Policy from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Government and International Relations with honors from George Mason University.
