Matthew Lerner, Jewish Inclusion Fellow

Matt Lerner

Matthew Lerner was a Jewish Inclusion Fellow with RespectAbility, where he worked to increase inclusion for people with disabilities in the Jewish community. He also managed the organization’s Jewish inclusion Twitter account.

Lerner is a graduate from the University of Rochester where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Health. Lerner currently is pursuing his Masters in Public Health at Boston University (BU) and is on an accelerated track to graduate in January 2018. While at BU, Lerner is studying Community Assessment, Program Design, Implementation, and Evaluation (CAPDIE) and Maternal and Child Health.

Lerner’s main interests lie within Maternal and Child Health, Public Health advocacy, and inclusion work for people with disabilities in religious groups as well as in the healthcare sector. Lerner is also currently applying to medical school where he hopes to one day become an Obstetrician.
